Gay and Lesbian Travel in Nouvelle Caledonie – New Caledonia

Southern Province

The Tjibaou Center in the South Province (Noumea) is the cultural reference point for the entire South Pacific region.

The Southern Provinces, with the New Caledonian capital of Noumea, West Coast and Isle of Pines included, is the most populated of the three provinces which make up the French-ruled territory. Each region is unique, and it is worth leaving the city for the country to experience the Kanak Village culture, the diverse ecosystem, the World Heritage listed lagoon and the crown jewel 150 km south of the main island – the Isle of Pines.
